So anyone else have trouble with gamestop disk fixer?

I got a handy little bottle of cd fixer from gamestop. So far every xbox 360 game I have attempted the repair with has stopped working immediately after the application. The drive starts then suddenly stops and I get the good ol' open tray message. The whole process is about eight seconds long(from the point where the disk is entered to the point that it says "open tray"
